Reminiscence of Brabant<\/strong> \u2013 I wanted to combine the feel of a tarantella with a playful melody to depict some of the rare, good days Van Gogh had as a youth while living in Brabant. The refrain on the other hand is intended to represent Van Gogh at the time he painted this particular piece \u2013 he was not in Brabant, but rather conjuring memories of it while a patient the Saint-Remy Asylum.
