Woman with Parasol – Madame Monet and her Son – Though not a painting by Van Gogh, Woman with Parasol – Madame Monet and Her Son is a masterpiece from an equally talented impressionist Claude Monet. This was a friendly challenge put to me by Brig Serman. This is one of his favorite paintings (actually one in a series that Monet painted) and he asked me to interpret it through music. This was a fun challenge, but I was lucky enough to view one of Monet’s Parasol paintings at the Musée d’Orsay, so I had some ‘hand’s-on’ inspiration.
